Six CIAs will evaluate the ingredients of each product to ensure that the ingredients comply with Clean Care's standards. We are currently in the process of recruiting a diverse body of judges who are objective, respected and knowledgeable in the environmental health space.

Judging Process
Phase 1: Ingredients Check
Entry form, which contain a complete list of the entered product’s ingredients, are submitted to our Clean Ingredient Assessors (CIA) to ensure that the ingredients comply with Clean Care’s standards. Products with ingredient lists which do not comply with the Clean Care Standards will be disqualified.
Each CIA is asked to designate one of the products as a personal “favourite” based on the ingredients list.
Phase 2: Month-Long Trial
There are three Beauty Detectives designated to each category (1. Make-Up, 2. SkinCare, 3. SkinWash, 4. HairCare, 5. Other).
The Beauty Detectives will assess the products based on the following, but not limited to, criteria:
Based on the evaluations of the judges, the top 10 products are shortlisted. Deliberation among the judges will occur to discuss the ranking of the top 5 products. In the event of a tie, CIA's favourite pick will be the tie-breaker. The award-winning product will then be determined.

- value for money
- packaging
