The beautifully brave Stephanie Anne Daga started BlushPretty in 2004; we are excited to tell you all about Stephanie...
How did you first learn that potential harmful ingredients are lurking in beauty and personal care products?
When I started BlushPretty and took a very active role in determining the individual and unique needs of my clientele, I started to learn more and more about ingredients, what their roles were in creating my favourite products, and what was good and bad. It took a lot of reading and learning (and unlearning!) and time … but it was worth it. I can now make informed decisions about products and whether or not I want to use them.
What is one fact about the beauty industry that you always seem to share with others?
That money doesn’t have to limit you. A $100 face cream might be all the rage amongst beauty bloggers, but if the $15 one you have been using your entire life leaves you looking as young as the day you first used it - then why switch?
What made you want to get involved with the Clean Beauty Awards?
The opportunity to teach and educate others on greener, cleaner choices.
What is one advice you would give to your younger self?
Don’t pluck your eyebrows ever ...
