Not all children’s haircare products are made with safety in mind. That’s what Ana Saad discovered as a mother of three, trying to find natural hair styling solutions gentle enough for her son’s sensitive skin. That gap in the market became the starting point for eekoloks Haircare Australia, a family-driven brand designed for kids, by a parent who understood the challenge firsthand. At the 10th Clean Beauty Awards, its Rock’n’Repel™ Hairspray was nominated in recognition of its commitment to clean, effective formulations made with children in mind.
Blending Australian native ingredients with eco-conscious practices, eekoloks is changing how families think about haircare, proving that natural doesn’t have to mean ineffective.
eekoloks Haircare began with a simple mission: to create natural hair products that work—without the chemicals. Founder Ana Saad built the brand around her own children’s needs, especially her son Joshua, who struggled with skin sensitivity. Inspired by her older sons’ obsession with Elvis-style hair and their desire for styling products that were fun to use, Ana developed a product line that’s playful, clean, and completely safe for kids.
The brand avoids parabens, sulphates, and phthalates, and instead relies on organic, naturally derived ingredients that support scalp and hair health. All formulas are designed for everyday use and child independence, with packaging and application that make grooming part of the fun—not a chore. Products like the Rock’n’Repel™ Hairspray and G’Day Mane Styling Powder offer styling power without harsh additives.
“Being part of the Clean Beauty Awards is an incredible honour for our brand. It validates our commitment to creating safe, natural, and effective haircare products that families can trust. This recognition not only highlights the quality and innovation of our formulations, but also inspires us to continue raising the bar in clean beauty.”

Safety, sustainability, and family are at the core of eekoloks. Each product is crafted with biodegradable accessories, recyclable packaging, and responsibly sourced ingredients from suppliers that align with the brand’s environmental standards. The formulas are developed with a cosmetic chemist to ensure they meet both the health expectations of parents and the performance demands of kids.
“One significant challenge I faced was launching eekoloks Haircare Australia during the COVID-19 lockdown. While the pandemic brought its challenges, it also gave us the opportunity to focus on comprehensive research and development with a cosmetic chemist. I sourced unique, innovative raw materials that weren’t always easy to obtain, breaking the norm with formulations and challenging the effectiveness of natural and organic products. This period allowed me to refine our products to ensure they were not only safe and natural but also high-performing. With determination and creativity, we turned a difficult time into an opportunity to create something truly special.”
