Incredible formulation is so creamy and luxurious it almost feels like a face cream not a cleanser. But it does the job well: all traces of makeup come off easily, the cleanser rinses off cleanly and face is left fresh and hydrated. The all-in-one package is a real plus for me! I love the attached silicon brush head and ease of use this provides!
The Inika Phytofuse Renew Cream Cleanser has an innovative silicon brush head and claims that it can deliver fresh, clean skin with without drying it out! But does it deliver? This cleanser has a built-in brush which makes it incredibly simple to use! Just a simple twist to open it up I could easily squeeze the cleanser into the bristles. The cleanser is on the thicker side so it doesn’t drip and it isn’t messy. I was able to put it right up to my face and scrub away. I found it to be a gentler exfoliation experience than the gloves I tend to use. While the concept of a built-in brush is pretty neat, it does limit who can use the product as well as whether it ought to be shared. I generally like to share my products so I can see how they work on different skin types/ skin concerns but because the brush was built in I didn’t really want to share this one. However, the built in nature would be good for someone who is prone to losing things, or for an on-the-go sort of situations where you want to pack light. I would recommend this for people who like gentle exfoliation, travel a lot or tend to lose things since this brush is built-in! Overall I did enjoy the cream cleanser, it was good at removing my makeup and while on my face it felt nourishing and hydrating which can attributed to it’s blend of Camellia Oil, plus Jojoba Oil, Shea and Cocoa Butters. However after washing it off my skin didn’t seem to retain the moisture it was kind-of dry which is unusual since I’m generally so oily, so I had to rehydrate quick! I did like the built in brush because I do often forget to bring my exfoliation gloves on trips, but for at home use I didn’t really need it and found it to be a little extra, especially if I wanted to share it.
