As part of the 11th annual Clean Beauty Awards, 185 brands from over 24 countries submitted 386 products across 20 categories, evaluated over three months by 117 clean beauty advocates and industry experts.

Lip care products were tested comparatively within their category using structured pairwise ranking. Judges evaluated formulas across daily wear, environmental exposure (cold, dry air), and repeated reapplication scenarios.

Judges focused on:

Because lip products are reapplied frequently and directly ingested in small amounts through daily use, comfort and consistency were critical factors.
