I recently tried the Sugar & Salt Body Scrub from Corbin Rd, and it was such a refreshing addition to my body care routine. I love that it combines both sugar and salt, because the dual exfoliation gives a more balanced result — the sugar melts down into a gentle polish while the salt crystals add a deeper buff where my skin needs it most (especially legs and arms). After rinsing, my skin felt smooth, renewed, and noticeably softer to the touch. One thing I really appreciated is how moisturized my skin felt afterward. The oils in the formula absorb nicely without leaving a heavy film, so it doesn’t feel greasy or slippery post-shower. It’s the kind of scrub that makes your skin feel prepped for lotion—but also hydrated enough to skip it if you’re in a rush. The sensory experience is also a win for me: the texture spreads easily, the exfoliation feels intentional rather than harsh, and the scent creates a spa-like moment at home. It feels like a product meant for slow, intentional self-care rather than a quick scrub-and-go.

Corbin Rd. from New Zealand sent me this body scrub to try it and rate for the this year Clean Beauty Awards. It’s called Sugar & Salt Body Scrub. The brand has a whole line of beauty products, which are recommended by them for daily use. The body scrub is a first in line, to exfoliate, after they have different types of creams and lotions to nourish the skin. The products they are making are clean, natural and cruelty free. The ingredients are sea salt, sugar, kawakawa, manuka honey, kanuka, black fern and red seaweed. Just reading about the ingredients, it made me curious to try it out. What a heavenly feeling! The texture is thick but I was able to get an appropriate amount out of the plastic container. Started to smear it on my hands, legs and my whole body. I don’t know what is kawakawa or kanuka, but the smell was so familiar and I fell in love right away. It smelled like in my hometown, in our yard the dirt or soil after the rain. It made me nostalgic. Spreads easily, cleaning the dead skin, dirt and sebum immediately. When it touched my skin, it started to melt, the exfoliating particles, sugar and salt, felt pleasant, wasn’t too harsh on my sensitive skin. After drying, I didn’t even need to apply a lotion, my skin was soft and smooth. The booklet which came in the package, explained the 3 step routine. Wish I can try other products from them because I am sure they are same high quality as this body scrub.
