We spoke to CEO Asma Ishaq about Modere’s award-winning CellProof Eye Cream and what’s next for this innovative clean beauty brand.
Tell us about your journey with Modere.
In 2009, I founded a finished product company with a proprietary collagen and hyaluronic acid (HA) dietary supplement and skincare product line powered by Liquid BioCell®. Modere acquired my brand in February 2017, and after transitioning into Modere as president of the company’s newly created Collagen Sciences division, I advanced to the role of global CEO in January 2018.
Originally, I developed and brought to market the Liquid BioCell® product line after receiving clinical validation of the multi-patented ingredient’s measurable benefits on joint mobility and visible signs of aging, such as dry skin, fine lines and wrinkles. Inspired by Liquid BioCell’s nascent success, I then developed a topical version of the ingredient to create a 360° approach to skincare with internal and external applications. Modere CellProof represents our most advanced incarnation of this topical application to date.
Why did you create this product? What need were you fulfilling?
A good skincare regimen should include a cream or serum developed specifically for the area around the eye because that skin is thinner and more sensitive than the skin on the rest of the face. The skin around the eyes is also usually the first indicator of age since it is more fragile and vulnerable to the effects of ageing. We created Modere CellProof Eye Cream to complement our CellProof skincare line, which also includes Modere CellProof Serum, Moisturizer, Infusion Mask, and Lip Complex.
Would you say this is your best-selling product? If not, what is and why?
The Modere CellProof premium skincare line is indeed one of our top-selling products. We anticipate further success with this stellar recognition.
Why do you think your product was chosen as the winner?

Why is being a clean beauty brand important?
Consumers the world over are waking up to the importance of using beauty products that are free of controversial chemicals. Like all clean lifestyle products, clean beauty products are better for our health as well as the health of the planet. And informed by continually evolving scientific research and know-how, today’s clean beauty products can be as effective, if not more so, than their toxic counterparts. To be competitive and succeed, a company must meet its consumers where they are. The demand for clean beauty is on a definite uphill trajectory, so it is imperative that brands meet that demand- not only for the success of the company, but for the sake of our health and the environment.
What’s next for your brand?
We are working on expanding the Modere CellProof product line and intend to continue innovating in the health and wellness space while maintaining our steadfast commitment to clean label product development.
