With the environment in mind, I loved the packaging of this product. It was the first deodorant stick I have ever seen in a paper twist bottle - the twist, while a very simply addition, was different from the other paper tubes. The smell of the product was described as "calm" from my 10 year old son. Which I would have to agree. It has a calming yet fresh scent to it. This product taught me the difference between Zinc Oxide and Zinc ricinoleate which I had no idea is a major fatty acid found in castor oil. I was able to test this product while in Hawaii and it held its own! I would most definitely recommend this deodorant.

I was eager to give New Dawn Natural Deodorant by RUSTIC MAKA a try, especially drawn to its eco-friendly packaging and organic ingredients. While I appreciate its commitment to sustainability, the scent didn't quite align with my preferences. It leans towards a more masculine fragrance, which isn't what I typically seek in a deodorant as a woman, though I recognize its potential as a unisex option. On the plus side, I admire that it's free of aluminum, parabens, and synthetic fragrances, aligning with my desire for cleaner ingredients. The twist-up stick packaging is convenient and user-friendly, which I appreciate. However, despite its claim of effectively neutralizing body odor with magnesium, I found its effectiveness to be limited, lasting only a few hours. Overall, while New Dawn has some positive aspects, it didn't fully meet my expectations in terms of scent preference and long-lasting odor protection.
